About the Event
How can you build and strengthen relationships with your children during cancer? This workshops series facilitates expressive and collaborative art making “recipes” to support you as a family. Together, you will learn how to encourage, share, and accept each other’s creative self-expression. Free art kit available for cancer-impacted families with all the materials you will need for the series!
Recipes for Connection is a social emotional arts curriculum created by Dr. Jessica Bianchi, EdD LMFT ATR-BC and Amber L Cromwell LMFT ATR-BC. It aims to help build and strengthen relationships between caring adults and children using the art process. This workshop will be led by Amber L. Cromwell. She is a board certified art therapist, arts educator and mental health advocate. Amber is a supervisor in the Helen B Landgarten Art Therapy Clinic and co-director of the Summer Arts Workshop at Loyola Marymount University.
