Amplify! Teen Arts and Wellness Workshop Series
Our 6-week series inspires creativity and focuses on process through arts-based coping strategies. We create a safe environment for teens to explore emotions and their relationship to the world around them. We support teenagers’ voices as important, impactful, and worthy in themselves and in their community. Developed by Amber Cromwell and Sharon Frances, in partnership with Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
Ash & Feather: Stories Inside Out / Multi Arts Integration/ 5-12th Grade
Have you ever asked the question, “what’s that person’s story?” Whether it’s where they were born, their family background, the traditions and cultures that shape them, the challenges they experience in their lives, or their aspirations or dreams, every human being has a story. We explore what shapes our stories, and venture into creativity by expressing our own stories through personal narrative, poetry, visual art, dance! Developed by Círculos High School, SAUSD, Well Beings Studio, and Allie Fogel Choreography.
Integrating Social Emotional Arts for Wellness in the Classroom / Teaching Workshops
This professional development workshop explores the relationship between the creative arts and social emotional learning. We discuss emotional literacy and factors that impacted emotional expression, as well as utilize strategies teachers can use to support student emotional development. We explore how multi-arts integration enhances students’ emotional well-being and their learning. We reflect on how arts learning is impacted by inclusion and equity practices. Developed by Sharon Frances, PhD, California State University and Well Beings Studio.
Multi-Arts Camp
Each summer, we will host a free, virtual multi-arts camp for children, grades 1-6. This camp focuses on exploring emotions through movement, drawing/painting, and literature. Our first camp, Monster in Me, was in partnership with Active Learning USA in Santa Ana, California.
